The space

The Menoreh Lawn steps down the hillside in two grassed terraces edged with frangipani and old tamarind trees. Ceremonies are held on the upper terrace at golden hour with the hills behind the couple; dinner follows on the lower terrace under festoon lights and a sky that, in the dry season, is thick with stars. Traditional Javanese ceremonies — siraman, midodareni and panggih — can be held here with a court-trained master of ceremonies.

Worth knowing

Dry season (May – October) is the most reliable; a clear-span marquee is available for the wet months.

Hire terms

A date is held with a 30% deposit and confirmed with the signed contract. The balance is due 30 days before the event. Final numbers are guaranteed 7 days before. Hire prices are before 10% tax and 11% service.
